Modern Toilet
Some months back when I was in Taiwan, I ate at a bathroom-themed restaurant which I thought was really interesting. The seats were toilet bowls and the tables bath tubs or sinks. The food served was fusion-chinese and tasted ok but obvously no one was there for the food. I must really applaud whoever who came up with this interesting idea coz it was a really interesting lunch and they have kept the prices affordable so that people can enjoy the place. A set meal costs of around SGD 15 comes with a soup, a drink, main course and dessert.
The entire restaurant's decorations were bathroom themed, with shower curtains and even lights that were shaped like toilet bowls. They even have souveniers on sale for customers to buy home. I could not resist and bought a few bottles of "shit" candy to bring home as souveniers for friends.
My 2 friends and I could not stop exclaiming when our main courses came. Their hot plate main courses were served on miniature toilet bowls and my pasta came in a bright blue bath tub! The dessert was even more interesting. It was soft-served ice cream shaped like shit served in a squat toilet bowl! Ha ha, looking back, it feels quite gross although it was a really interesting and fun experience! And the food was so edible that we finished everything which I must also compliment the restaurant owner on. Most times, such restaurants do not bother about the quality of food served as they know they will attract customers due to their unusual theme. However, if the food is crap, customers will only be attracted by the novelity of the place on their first visit and will not think of returning.
Anyway, they have quite a few shops in Taiwan and the one I visited was in Kao Shiong. So if any of you have a chance to go there, be sure to drop by and have a look.

that's pretty unique! Shit candy? Show it to me some time! Were the napkins dispensed like toilet paper? =)

hi! this toilet themed restn is indeed brave to do with such a concept. didn even realise the ice cream was styled like shit in a 'toilet bowl' till u mentioned it. cool.
